Description

The Pre-Respiratory Therapy pre-professional pathway at BSC provides the first two years of core classes toward a baccalaureate degree for students planning a career as a respiratory therapist. Study includes general biology, microbiology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, college physics, algebra, ethics, and general education classes required for graduation.

Preparation

High school students planning a career in respiratory therapy should take classes in the sciences.

Requirements

Students who complete the suggested curriculum requirements receive a Liberal Arts - Associate in Science degree and听are eligible to transfer to a four-year institution.听If also pursuing an Associate of Arts (AA) degree, an additional three general education credits in the Arts & Humanities and Social & Behavioral Sciences is required.

看片软件 has many cooperative, articulation, or transfer agreements with postsecondary institutions both inside and outside of the North Dakota University System. Some of these agreements are established to allow students to remain on campus as they complete their bachelor鈥檚 degree. In all cases, students seeking to transfer after completing a degree at BSC should consult the academic catalog of their destination college and work with their academic advisor to plan for this transition.

Respiratory therapists are a vital part of the health care team, continually interacting and communicating with other medical professionals. They help people with heart and lung problems and work in hospitals, outpatient clinics, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and patient homes.
