Description
The Education Foundations - Substitute Teaching program certificate is designed for people who would like specific credit bearing training on becoming a licensed substitute teacher in North Dakota. This course sequence prepares students for being effective substitute teachers in today's P12 schools; how to get into the subbing system and make district contacts; how to implement the teacher's lesson plans and respond to diverse students' needs; and how to handle the learning environment, including behavioral challenges and organization of students.听
Preparation
This program prepares students to be a fully licensed Substitute Teacher in North Dakota. Licensure is conferred by the state. Students interested in this program should have a desire to work with children and/or youth.听
Requirements
Students who complete the curriculum requirements receive a Program Certificate in Education Foundations - Substitute Teaching and are eligible for the North Dakota Substitute Teaching license from the state.
