Description
This certificate will cover biology, chemistry, and biotechnology as a foundation for students who are interested in the sciences and/or medical field. It may be completed independently or alongside the Liberal Arts transfer AS Biology pathway.
Preparation
This certificate would consist of courses providing students with the tools needed to begin a career in many areas supporting the biotechnology industry. Upon completion of this 16 credit certificate graduates will be able to understand complex biological systems and their function in biotechnology, successfully complete projects using a variety of laboratory techniques, and interpret and present scientific information accurately and precisely.
Requirments
Students who complete the curriculum requirements receive a Program Certificate in Biotechnology.
